The importance of Anmiotic Fluid during 3D/4D Ultrasound.

Amniotic fluid is inhaled and exhaled by the developing baby in its embryo. It is essential that fluid be breathed into the lungs in order for them to develop normally.  Amniotic fluid protects the developing baby by cushioning against bumps to the mother's abdomen, allowing for easier fetal movement and promoting muscular/skeletal development. Amniotic fluid swallowed by the developing baby embryo helps in the formation of the gastrointestinal tract.

It's highly suggestive the expecting mother drinks at least 6-8 litres of water a day starting two weeks prior to your 3D Ultrasound.  This will help with the neutralization of the PH levels inside the uterus, making the 3D images much more transparent.  However, on the day of your 3D/4D Ultrasound at 3D BabyVision Mississauga/Oakville, a full bladder isn't needed.  We generally recommend to our clients to have a cold beverage on their way to our facility.  Cold and sweet beverages (i.e., Soda, orange juice, iced coffee...)  are the optimal choices for maximizing the results of the imagery.
