The optimal time for 3D/4D ultrasound keepsake photos is between 26-32 weeks. However, we can obtain gender determination in as early as 18 weeks. Many expecting mothers decide to come a different stages of their baby’s development so they can see the salient growth stages. If you are expecting twins, 3D BabyVision – 3D Ultrasound Oakville & Mississauga recommends the ultrasound to be done during the pregnancy period of 20-24 weeks.

What is the difference between 3D and 4D ultrasound?
3D Ultrasound in Mississauga/4D Ultrasound in Mississauga
3D Ultrasound scans capture stationary pictures of your baby in three dimensional. 4D ultrasound scans show movable 3D imagery of your baby in “real-time” (i.e. the baby fetus opening its eyes, yawning, smiling, etc.)
Many expecting mothers find the traditional 2D scans frustrating because images are opaque, grey, and blurred. 2D technology sees transparently through skin, so that photos show health of anatomical development.
3D and 4D ultrasound scans show flush and texture. You may see the curated details of your baby’s nose, chin, eyes and facial structure, or be able to spot yawning or sticking the tongue out. rather than two-dimensional diagnostic imaging, which is used for visualizing internal body structures (i.e including muscles, joints, vessels, internal organs for possible pathology or lesions.)
3D and 4D scans are considered as safe as 2D scans, because the images are made up of sections of two-dimensional images converted into a picture. There’s no scientific evidence to suggest that sonography scans aren’t safe.
So remember: a 3D ultrasound is a detailed, still photos and 4D refers to the baby’s movements when captured is beautifully shown on a DVD recording.
